SUPERFOODS

At the present time, I am going to write about different types of SUPERFOODS.  Beginning today with each post, I am going to write about a superfood and what I believe are the benefits of that food from what I have learned over the years. I have found that most people know about them, but they don't realize the power each of them has, and how they can benefit the individual and society.

SUPERFOOD:  MOMMA BREASTMILK FOR HUMAN BABIES

The only milk that does a body good is breastmilk. Yeah, formula babies do fine, and we all survive, and we are all going to die (some believe we don't have to, but that's another post). The body knows that formula is not superior, the body knows that it contains too much sugar, and that the vitamins it has are synthetic. The body knows breast milk has stem cells, and antibodies. The body knows exactly what to do with colustrum, and to make extra protein for premature babies.

I am appalled and continued to get confused at the reaction that this society has towards breastfeeding. Breastfeeding moms are not trying to show you their breasts, pick up your husband, or make you feel weezy about your dinner. Breastfeeding is natural, and should be the normal way to tend your baby's basic need. 

Families should support the mother, and ensure that it is a success. Studies have demonstrated that children that are breastfed have higher IQs. These children suffer less illness, and are less likely to have problems with obesity.  A breastfed baby feels more secure about life, especially when breastfed for longer periods.  Breastmilk is SUPERFOOD for babies, and mommas.  YES, studies have shown that moms lose weight faster, are less likely to have breast cancer, and less likely to have post-partum depression.

Next time you see a breastfeeding momma, such as myself, is best to congratulate them for their efforts; they are helping the environment, producing less trash, and creating a happier society.
